He’s smart. He’s cool. He’s Dexter Morgan, America’s favorite serial killer, who spends his days solving crimes and his nights committing them. During season 8, Angel Batista was not always played by David Zayas. His son David Zayas Jr. in some scenes he replaces his father, as they both look so much alike. Dexter, who is visible throughout the first season, has a large scar on his left side. Later, in season 2, the scar moved to the right side, leaving the left side unmarked… Dexter Morgan: I lived in the darkness for a long time. As the years went by, my eyes adjusted until the darkness became my world and I could see… Featured at the 64th Golden Globe Awards (2007). Main theme Written by Rolfe Kent Performed by Rolfe Kent. This will be my first review on IMDb. Not a day goes by that I don’t visit IMDb to check reviews of movies or TV shows that I watch. I watch a lot of movies and TV shows. I have had the experience of not being able to sleep after watching a TV show. I have watched Prison Breaks, Heroes and many more. Prison Break and the first season of Heroes were amazing. They inspired me so much that I got a tattoo on my body. However, both the shows were released as soon as they were going to the next season. Heroes was a huge disappointment but DEXTER… OMG, series after series makes me so curious for the next episode… damn, season 4. I couldn’t sleep the whole night after watching it. I spent the weekend watching the episodes one after the other. In the beginning with Dexter (Michael C. Hall), his darkness was beyond limit, he played the role so well that sometimes I wonder if he is the same in real life, but then I found out that Debra Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter) is his real wife who plays his sister in this show. Damn, Debra is such a confused character and controlled by the people around her that she always does something wrong but always gets credit for the good things too. I love the part where you find out what goes on in Dexter’s mind when he thinks about something or when someone talks to him, and also the part where he talks to his late father Harry. (he only thinks about what his father would say in such a situation). Every episode/character and every season is written and acted so well that you will hardly find any flaws in them. My favorite characters are Dexter (pretty obvious), Rita and Vince Masuka. Gosh, Vince is so funny that he only says one word in the whole thing. this episode and I think it’s really funny. I can’t wait for season 5 and I’m sure everyone who watched Dexter feels the same way as I do. (I apologize if my first review contains any mistakes and offends anyone’s feelings)
